About
Hi! My name is Victoria Beth
Though some have called me Vickiy.
The winters where I grew up in southeastern Colorado
Could be a bit cold and icky.
At 16 I was nearly visited by my own death
But God had a grander plan in store.
Going to church and reading the Bible
Incited lots of questions and much, much more.
So after taking several calming breaths
I moved to Texas to attend Bible college at the age of 20.
Three years went by with work and school
In this place of knowledge, this field of plenty.
Do you hear the tune on the treble clef
When again my momma sang with me?
Seven more years on the farm, in the garden,
Helping family, with the youth, as a home missionary.
A change of address and shibboleth
Lay in the concrete swamp of greater New Orleans.
Only God’s great love and mercy
Could take me there by any means. (Part of what He used was Ruth 1:16-17 while at church camp….)
A tea specialist and teacher, but not a chef
Are ways I’ve worked with my hands.
A barn and silo, pastures and sheep
Are parts of the dream for these six acres of land.
*** If you would like to know more of my personal testimony about moving to New Orleans please message me. I have two documents that you are welcome to read.

Mission
Deuteronomy 6:4-20
Psalm 78:1-8
In moving to greater New Orleans in October 2015 I knew that God had plans for me to reach the next generation for Christ. How would I do this? I've worked at a tea room, in after school programs, at a group home, a K-3 teacher at a preschool, and now a greenhouse attendant all the while participating in outreach programs though Crescent Baptist Church. These things are good but it's not enough. The Bible passages above convict me to do more....

Vision
Luke 16:10-11, 19:26
Matthew 25:21
John 13:35
1 Timothy 6:12-19
Southeastern Colorado is vastly different from the chaotic concrete swamp that I now find myself a part of. At first it didn't make sense why God would send a country girl who loves her home to such a place, but He apparently had bigger plans than I did. He asks me to be a good steward of the knowledge, the skill, the gifts that He has given me. What better way to do that than sharing with others who haven't been given the same opportunities?
